IRRELEVANT

There’s more than a few of us who have a growing concern. Some have sailed beyond the waters of desired importance while others of us wonder what it means when a Gen-Z looks at us and says we’re snatched. I scratch my head and wonder. The other day our 18 year old granddaughter said to me I look drip, I looked down to check my pants and see if I had accident.

I don’t want to be misplaced, replaced or forgotten. So here’s a list of current lingo for all those groovy people out there who want to know (from an AI source):

  • Rizz: Short for charisma, it describes someone’s ability to flirt or attract someone.
  • Salty: Feeling upset or angry.
  • L: Short for loss, often used in gaming or social media contexts to indicate a negative outcome.
  • Lit: Means something is great, awesome, or exciting.
  • Slay: To do something exceptionally well or to dominate a task.
  • No Cap: “No lie” or confirming something is genuine.
  • Mid: Something that is average, mediocre, or not great.
  • Sus: Short for suspicious, indicating something or someone is untrustworthy.
  • Bet: Means okay or agreement.
  • Hard launch/Soft launch: Refers to the way a product or announcement is released, with “hard launch” being a full announcement and “soft launch” being a gradual one.
  • GOAT: Greatest of all time, used to describe someone who is the best at what they do.
  • Flex: To show off or display something impressive.
  • Cringe: Something that is awkward, embarrassing, or uncomfortable to watch.
  • Glow up: A positive transformation or change, often used in a beauty context.
  • Stan: A die-hard fan, often used in a negative way to describe someone who is overly obsessed.
  •  IYKYK: “If you know, you know,” meaning the phrase is understood only by those who know the context.
  • Drip: Stylish clothing or appearance.
  • Cheugy: Something that is out of style or uncool.
  • Bussin’: Something that is really good or amazing.
  • Amped: Describes someone who is eager or enthusiastic.
  • Basic: Something or someone that is ordinary and uninteresting.
  • Clapback: A sharp or witty response to someone who has criticized you.
  • Period: Something that is undeniable or unquestionable.

So don’t be cheugy but let’s slay and just Keep On Truckin… cause it’s all gonna change again.

Keep on Truckin…
